Lost World of Tambun

On the 4th to the 6th Dec 08. I organized a trip to Perak. Heading to the Lost World of Tambun. Long journey though even it is just another state from Selangor. Took about 2-3 hours drive. Maybe I drove the car slowly. Lol. But 110-120kmph is normal lor for this highway. xD Only 4 of us. Me, my brother, my sister and Ping.

Booked a hotel called Hotel Lotte at the heart Perak(i.e. Ipoh). It is a budget hotel. Quite convenient as we are near to shopping mall such as The Store. Able to buy, say, mineral waters to drink in hotel. Places to eat and hanging out is convenient as well. Booking any hotel most importantly for me is cleanliness, second quiet. Not bad as its cheap and good for staying overnight. Do not have any disturbance as well. Parking is limited but always got parking for us.(luck)

Been traveling to attractions in Ipoh such as chinese temples and hot spring waters. Quite convenient as we are guided with Garmin GPS. Need not need to search for the places before traveling. Of course I did some homework by knowing the places and road prior coming here. Lol.

The Lost World of Tambun is a good place to travel and play! I didn't expect there will be a zoo inside the theme park for us to explore. Nice place to play with water too. Time to get myself back to be a kid. xD Went to many places and see caves, forest and animal. Essentially means flora and fauna. Lol. Enjoyed myself been together with the animals and trees.

Traveled for 3D2N and next week I've started my work in Subang USJ10. In a construction firm. Not bad as I have a job near my home. Can save on traveling cost. Lol.

Birmingham

From 27 September until to the 1 Oct.. i was in Birmingham. Visit my ACCA friends who are taking their masters in Birmingham City University (BCU). 2nd Oct was my flight back to Malaysia. so just able to hang around in Birmingham for less than 5 days. But it is fun though. Get to meet friends again. Haha.

I have been traveling around alone. Whilst others are still traveling across Europe. Loitering around Birmingham.. went to city centre. Bought a wallet there.. cost me 25 pounds. Nevermind lo.. my wallet koyak until dont know what to say de. Time to change. xD

Met many new friends here.. my network spread from knowing Bryan, Wei Ern and Wei Jian. Without them here.. i dont think i am able to "land" in Birmingham and meet new friends. Met new friends such as Ju ri, Hui Ley and Vincent. Went to many places such as The Pavillion, Bull Ring, Aston Villa and Aston Park.

London (19 Sept - 26 Sept)

After exam, not even two days, everyone has to check-out. Haihz. So rush. We don't even have our own time to hang around. After Scotland trip, everything was so rush. Corporate Finance assignment, presentations, reflective writing, and exams etc. On the 17th Sept we finish our exam, while most of Charlotte Court resident left on that day itself during the night, heading for Europe trip. Next day, another batch left.

Only people like me are left alone. Lol. Cause I didn't follow them go to Europe trip. I rather travel around UK myself since there are still many interesting places in UK that we have not visited yet. On the 19th Sept i check-out alone and head to London city myself.

London.. ok la. So many people there.. hot too (probably due to air pollution). Visited the National Gallery, China Town and many more. Cost of living is generally higher compared with Sheffield. Normal la. Lol.

Scotland Trip 22-27th August

First day we went to Scotland, we stop at Edinburg City. Have many attractions and things to buy. I bought whisky for parents. Visited the museum etc. Many people at the streets. After exploring Edinburg, we went to the Falfirk Whell and Lowland Canals. It is built to transfer boats to other side of the river. After a tiring day, we went to Inverness for our one night stay in a hotel.

The next day we went to Nevis Range. Exploring the wonderful scenery above the hills. We even saw rainbow below us. So windy and cold. The strong is able to blow us away. Luckily still fine. Lol. Night time we went to back to Inverness. Have a drink and listen to Scottish musics. Not bad though. Next day, we went to John O Groat. Many dungs on the ground! but fun. Lol. Many cows, sheeps and highlanders.

Thirdly we went to the Loch Ness. The giant monster? Nessie? Legend in Scotland? Lol. Such big lake guess it can accommodate such monster. But until now scientist didn't able to look for it. Probably it is a fake one. Not sure. After that, we went to Ben Nevis for a factory visit. Quite a big factory. Before that.. we went for a brief intro of the factory history in a short clips. Then we have a test of their whisky. Very pedas. @@

Going back to Sheffield. Before that we bought many things back home. Eg whisky and biscuits. Went to North England.. many ducks here. x) Once reach home so tired. But manage to regain back my sleep quick hence able to do assignment. Lol.

Birthdays and.. Meteors?

Month of August.. coincidently many of our birthday falls on this month. We have been celebrating our birthdays here together with many friends. *thank you*.

On the day of my birthday, writing a report for Enclosure? Wrote until 6am in the morning. Happy birthday to myself. Lol. Celebrate other friends' birthday too such as Nicholas, Chung Sin and Serene. This month is a peak month, yet we are still taking things easily. Nevermind.. once in awhile (so to say)^^

On the 12th of August we, almost all, of us in Charlotte Court went to experience meteors. I went that day.. but end up didnt get to watch cause Im a nice guy. Lol. [got friends (tammie and another two girls) going back alone.. cannot let them go back alone ma. anything happen finish]. Oh well, next day i go again. Fortunately i got to see them(meteor). I saw 4 of them. Make wish? Not now.. i will keep it. =)

York City and Manchester City

Recently I went to two places, which is York City and Manchester City. York City is a beautiful city with historic buildings especially churhes. Visited the Manchester United Football Stadium. Nothing special.. but at least i have the experience by stepping at the football stadium. I will be coming back here again in August. Will be watching a football match(i am not a football fan).

Studies have been fine. But recently, have been losing interest. Feeling tired for anything and everything. I realise my perfomance has been declining.(no test, but i realise it myself). Practically i guess it is due to my break up incident. Which i still cannot let go. Trying hard to restructure my current position. Hopefully everything will be alright. Cause from what i observe, others seems to be more blur than me in lecture. xD (sorry if i offended anyone, just trying to saiko myself). Will be updating again in future. Next trip should be going to London.

Journey to the West

We started to fly from Malaysia on the 11 June 2009. Flew to Abu Dhabi, then to Manchester Airport. The morning we reach the airport, temperature is 5'C. Cold. The bus waiting for us. They brought us to see the country side. Took one hour drive to Sheffield. Sheffield is just one small city. Which is a nice one. But of course, will try to go other places such as Manchester City and London. Plan to go across Europe too. But see how first, cause the trip fees is doesnt seem sensible(ie not worth). Might choose to travel ownself. I will be visiting local familes here. Want to go for more trips like this. Can know the people here better. People here are friendly. Can know English culture better. After that we can also call them here in our flat, to try Malaysia food. x)

Getting used with the city centre in Sheffield. The place here is consider not big. The roads and all i can now recognised them.(but still trying to remember the names of the roads). Prices here are quite reasonable, in fact, it is very cheap. (if we earn GBP). But slightly more expensive for us who uses Ringgit Malaysia to survive here. It like we always paying Old Town Coffee prices for every meal(individual meals). Eg one bread RM6+. I guess i should be eating more Western foods such as breads and pasta. Rice here is expensive. Vegetables are consider cheap, but certain vegetables such as carrot is not. Hence, boiling soups such as ABC soup is a constraint now. Once in awhile is fine. Clothes here are reasonably cheap. I think i shall just leave my clothes here which i brought from Malaysia. And bring back all the new clothes which i will be buying in future. Summer sales coming soon. We shall wait until that time.

First day we had curry chicken plus potato, and vegetables. Second day, we only have 6 people while we wait for our friend Kanesh Babu to arrive(we fly on the 11 June, he is 13 June).

Induction program started not long ago. Just finished today. Only for two days. Tomorrow we will be starting our lectures. The Library Information Systems(IS) provided to students is superb. During my time in TAR College, I was told to do an assignment for our subject P6 MA Business Strategy. When i was constructing one PEST Analysis(ie environmental scan) for the all regions, i took for one whole day to do it(via Google search). Causes me cannot go out with my girlfriend. Haihz. Now with this IS, it makes life easier.

My name started with G(ie Gan), hence i am assigned into Group 1 for all classes.(we follow alphabetical letters). I have my old classmate again eg Yuk Ee. I have about 5 people who are from my course. Which is better than others whos name that falls backward. Cause they will get groups such as Group 5 and 6. They have classes on Friday. I do not have class on the Wednesday and Friday. My Thursday class is just from 9-10am lecture and 10-12pm tutorials.

Which is consider quite relaxing for me. The module I am currently enrolling is:

1) Financial Decision Making

2) Corporate Reporting

3) Corporate Finance

Today i tried to cook Nasi Lemak. Rice is fine, but sambal fail la. Sigh. A bit sour than usual.. didnt put enough water plus sugar and salt. It tasted sour due to tamarind juice inside. But afterall still ok la. =D

Rice: 1 cup of rice, grated coconut, screwpine leave(pandan), "ginger and shallots"(optional)

Chinese New Year Codfish

Today, 5th day of Chinese New Year. Nothing better to do.. we decided go a little bit nuts this year. Therefore, we decided to have a Codfish Marathon.

So we.. Gan family will be eating approximately 5 kilograms of codfish. No rice, no vegetables. JUST CODFISH FOR DINNER !! Cost about RM500+

Persuasive Speech Presentation.

On the 5th Dec 07 is my Persuasive Speech for my English for Management subject. In this presentation, i am selling a shampoo. A shampoo that is formulated specially by Professor Gan, that me =P, the Holy Shampoo. Once used this shampoo, your hair will grow long in a minute. Directly means, this shampoo prevent, in fact, makes you never bald. I did some demonstration in class, to prove to the "customers"(my classmates) that this shampoo is worth the value. Bentong trip

First day we reach Bentong quite late. So our first activity for that day is to eat. Nicole and Jenette is with us. Kah Seng brought them back wan. Lol. Once reached here always full never hungry. Kah Seng's plan.=/ Didnt took many photos, all these places "show off" the cameras too much later got stolen. Sigh.

Pulau Ketam

On the 01/10/2007 we went Pulau Ketam once more. Go there makan and walk around. But in the morning raining from 11-1pm. So we have our lunch there first, then only we walk around the island. Siow Wei brought her mommy along to join us.

Convocation 2007

Convocation Day is sub-divided into two days. On the 21st and the 28th July 07. My graduation day is not fall on the 21st July but we Management Accounting Society(MAS) are having our own convocation sales to raise funds. On the 28th July 07 lagi nice. Team 6 Karaoke Event

We went to sing k at Red Box near Low Yat plaza. We Team 6 have been team since our semester one until now. Total duration.. 2 years. This semester is our last sem to finish our diploma. After diploma, some of us will continue further studies in doing advance diploma, some plan to do a degree at UTAR, some have to retain a year, some have to repeat. and some decided to stop studying !! But not in Team 6. We all will further our studies(all of us will pass). =P

Today's event is just specially for our team. No other people will be involve with our plan.. totally prohibited. Lol.

3D2N Tampin Trip

What a wonderful trip at Tampin. We went to one of our classmate's hometown to celebrate Christmas at Tampin. We have our BBQ and went to Cowboy Town for the first day. Second day we went Water Park at Rembau, sigh, this Water Park event very unexpected. We are pulling pants among ourselves. Reach the water sliding area.. Fandy first.. she stucked. Stuck half way, Yuk Ee's turn to stuck from the back, Alex also stuck liao. Plus me at the back of them also stuck. Swt. I was standing up the slide and pushing them 3 cause at the back sure got people coming down wan.. so better faster push them if not i am also going to "fly" cause will be bang'ed by someone behind.. unfortunely cant.. so we four sliding down slowly. Haihz. That day we went to Malacca to celebrate Christmas eve also. That day night we went to pub and drink. I drank one glass of Carlsberg I already drunk. =( Maybe cause stomach empty.. thats why so easy can drunk. Reach home straigth away lay down on the bed and sleep de. haihz. Third day time to come back Subang lo. =P But cannot.. KTM from 1:30pm delay until 5:30pm, what the heck? =( So have to change plan liao. Straigth away go back KL.

Show you how to climb.. from the otherside to another side. Many people dont know to come down once reach up there. Lay down your body on top, one hand and one leg support you to go down. Make sure your leg is straigth. Lock your other leg from the otherside. Then you "pandai-pandai" la. Anything dont "sue" me. Haha. =P

ACCA and CIMA

We have a talk about after diploma which way you should proceed. Mr Michael Yeo advise us DAC student to remain at KTAR. As it is worth in KTAR since the fees are very much cheaper compare to outside and the quality in KTAR is very high. Got people from CIMA talk about it.. its about business strategic. To be an managament accountant. ACCA is about making you to be a financial accountants. Which is recognise worldwide. But both also.. not easy. Definitely.. nothing is easy.

Now still havent decide yet. Maybe I wont choose for this also.. maybe I will be going UTAR to do a degree. See first.. if I can pass MAF and MA this sem.. I will mostly going for CIMA. Sounds like a suicide.. but I prefer to be a strategic planner rather than doing financial reporting. We will see about that when times comes. =)

Hmm.. Its for sure i am an under S. Which is People Oriented and Passive. The behaviour is exactly the same as what I am. The test is conducted in DKE. Near the SSSH block here.

Career Fair 2006

Today we have a career talk about "what job suits your personality". I decide to skip my Business Law lecture and attend to this talk. Cause I know that "if we dont know about our personality, we cant actually achieve something effectively". We get to know our personality's strength and weakness. I think its kinda accurate from what I know about myself. I am a steady type. Like what always my friend said "Why you always so cool to me?". I didnt act.. cool or having other intention. I am just like my normal way.. didnt pretend anything. People said I should change, if I continue to be so cool.. I will loss all my friends. But I dont think that way.. People have their own personalities having their purpose. Cause I before/after this workshop, I found out that I am really in what I am. I know that my personality suit what I want. Not only in the working world, but also in relationship. Next time want to find partner.. I want the People Orientate and Passive. Cause I am having that personality, same goes to her. Human relation is more important for me. With the so called "kasih sayang", we will be happy for sure. Altough having tough life earning money. Thats what I want. Not really in Task Orientate.

Today is the day we have our Annual General Meeting(AGM). We already elected committee for year 2006/2007. Hope all these new committee can do their job, and can make this society carry on. Not sure whether this society can tahan until next year or not. Our advisor Mr Yik said he plan to shut down this society if our KTAR student go for recruit is less than 50 people. But I dont think all will go lo.. if all go also it will be less than 50 people. Nevermind.. just pray hard that everything will goes right.

Second Birthday Party in year 2006

My second time to celebrate my birthday party, this time is together with my classmates. We celebrated it with my brother and Chee Ih. I and my brother’s birthday is fall on the 5th August. Chee Ih’s one is fall on the 6th August. Just one day after our birthday. We did it at KFC at Jaya Jusco. Thanks for celebrating my birthday to all my classmates.. I really appreciate that. But honestly telling, I am not.. so.. happy. Ya.. Serious.. all the while when it comes to celebrate my birthday.. I will dislike it, no mood. That’s why I don’t want to do it at the first place. There are reasons why I dislike when it comes to my birthday. And I don’t want to tell it out to anyone. I rather keep this by myself. Plus.. I dont want to dissapoint someone that I didnt appear today. When you all plan to celebrate my birthday.. I plan to reject you all. But since you all want it so much.. so I just follow your plan. From now onwards, this will be my last birthday party ever. I don’t want to celebrate it for the next time. I really don’t like doing birthday party. If really next time we will to celebrate again.. We had our presentation for MIS today. Our presentation topic is discussing about a company wants to determine which method is easier for future use to decide the decision making. ACCA Student Conference 24th June 06.

Today we went for the ACCA Student Conference. Start from 8am to 6pm. Dang it, yesterday go drink visky. Wake up also abit susah de. Luckily still not late. =) Not really worth it la.. Not as nice as the Leadership Workshop 2006 that I went last time. Last time wan more fun. More things to learn. Furthermore.. got some other reason also. Haih, nevermind. 8th May to 7th June

This whole one month is my recruitment training.. this course is called Kursus Asas Perajurit Muda. Which means.. who ever take this course, once they success complete the one month training.. they are qualified as soldier.

Role call.. Haha, this one is always the best part. This time we will know who will be incharge in certain things. Sometimes.. we get punished. Why? Didnt do our duties well. The roling part is really hurts many people.. thats so called "kuih guling". Many people vomitted. But I still can take it.. I enjoy it too. =) But hard to wash the planters order uniform. Sigh. =(

We went marching, weapon handling, merempuh halangan, latihan medan, and many more. The last few days we march for our closing ceremony. That time really very tiring.. worst time ever in my life.. almost fainted. Our closing is at University Islamic Antarabangsa Malaysia(UIAM).. you can check out The Star newspaper on 8th June 2006, page6. Thats our closing. =)

Everything we learned is not easy to achieve.. we need to have the determination to not give up. Especially in marching and latihan medan. During the latihan medan I hurted my knee again.. but luckily I "made" it again. Determination is really important in the army.I hope the next batch of KTAR will be even more members.. so we have our own recruitment date. No need to mix with the other instituation or individuals. Not very fun.. but still can be accepted la. =)

Holiday during Wesak Day.

Just came back from training for Wesak Day public holidays. Nothing to do in camp lo.. So better come back to house. Same time can tell other people jahit baju for me. Lol. Day 1: Leadership Development Workshop 2006.

Today we have Leadership Development Workshop.. not bad. Quite intersting. Didnt feel sleepy. =) Today they arrange our group members.. Aik? My vice-president for Askar Wataniah, Clement cannot attend the seminar.. so he tell me represent him go wor.. Saturday and Sunday. 8:30am to 5pm. Saturday night also got Pot Luck Party.. dont know should go or not. But if didnt go not nice la.. =( Sunday got PT also cancelled specially for me de.. But nevermind la.. I can learn extra new things regarding about leadership. So in the future I can manage Askar Wataniah society in a better way. No one will say "dia orang askar tak tahu manage punya.." So.. its better I learn more things now.. Sooner or later they'll know who cannot manage their society well. =)

Tuesday 14/3/06 is my last medical check-up

Tuesday I went for my medical check-up at Kem Wardieburn. Waited so long.. more than 6 hours. We reached there about 9:30am until 2pm. We gather at the society notice board first.. before 8am. Meaning we almost spent the whole day for this medical check-up. After that 2:30pm got Basic Taxation tutorial class.. cannot really understand la. Damn difficult.. We must wait for at least a month to have our army number. Cant wait la.. really hope can go for the recruitment. Nevermind la.. one month very fast wan. Wataniah is first found in TAR College since 1997, but they cancelled this opportunity cause many people didn't want to participate into it. I dont want to explain so detail la.. not good. We stay at Concorde for one night. Spend the whole night together with Amir and Ernest. Since we didn't meet each other so long.. and we are staying there for one night. Why not stay together? Lol. I took some picture in the room we stayed. While waiting for both of them to finish working.. me and ks went pizza hut eat dinner first. After that go Giant buy some snacks to eat later.. maggi mee and so on. Today woke up 8am. Pack everything to go travel around KL. Bring camera, umbrella and stuffs.. Luckily bring umbrella. If not habis lo. Today heavy rain. =( Then go around take photos.. Sigh. Valentine's Day is celebrate on the 14th of February every year.. But this year can't do it. Cause got some work to do. Medical checkup for askar thingy.. Actually every year valentine's day I always alone wan.. Useless junk piece of crap. =(

But.. if this year really can go out with her.. I dont know what to say lo. Macam a father taking the daugther out for dinner or something. Lol. But most probably no chance. Today is Christmas Eve.. We went to Summit makan. xD

We went to Johnny's makan steamboat.. Cost us around RM81.08, drank a lot of sup. Together with the chili sauce. xD Got prawn, vegetable, fish, chicken, beef and so on. Lol. After eat steamboat.. Sigh, not full la. Go eat herbal egg. Still not full. Go eat McDonald's, same time can try the prosperity burger. Hehe, sure tak cukup wan. So we better order more. X-Ray check up.

Today we went for X-Ray.. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. I am on the Wednesday, means its today. =) This X-Ray is one of the procedure to go for the askar recruitment. Kor Rejiment 515 Askar Wataniah. Once reach at the camp there.. Nothing nice to take. So what i took is only in the 3 ton lorry.. Furthermore cannot take picture in the radiografer room. We took out our clothes.. then let them see everything. Lol. Nola, we just take out the upper part.. Then scan our chest only. =)

Try to speed at any time is a bad habit.

We went mamak for breakfast, later we take a ride around the USJ4 factory area.. Saw one bird flying from the right.. Haiyah, nevermind la. Dont bother about it la.. Suddenly.. POP !!!. Oops, what have we knocked? We actually knoecked a bird. We try finding the bird's mayat.. Tak jumpa, but we found three feathers.. Still fresh wan. Got ants at the sharp point of the feather. That means the we betul-betul langar a bird. =( Later after that.. we went roger's house lepak. =)

Today after our tutorial class we went to library for group discussion. Wah, a lot of stuff to do leh.. Presentation, assignment.. Haiyo. Nevermind la.. one day sure finish wan. xD After discussing.. We all hungry liao. Wanna makan. But want to eat canteen food meh? Not nice wan canteen food. Better go KLCC eat. =) But dont want la.. If go KLCC then very late already when reach home. So we just plan go KL Central eat only.. Then only separate to go home. =)

26 Nov 05 is the day to remember.

Today we have form filling section. What form? Its call regimental form.
People that join the armed force only can have this.. Hehe. Me joined under Askar Wataniah, Territorial Army 515 Regiment. That's why I have the form to fill in. =) Today we have form filling section and AGM. Form filling section starts Jam 0830. AGM is Jam 1400. Still got time after the form filling section.. Go Taman Bunga Raya(TBR) to have some lunch. That time half way walking to TBR rain.. Oops, later how to go for AGM? Nevermind la.. We eat first. After finish eating.. Aik? Rain stoped. Then we all walk back for the AGM. xD AGM.. They elected me as the Auditor II. Wah, haven't get diploma also can be auditor.. Why I so geng wan? Lol. After AGM finish.. Have some tea, evening break.. After that all of us take photos as a memories. Commitee take one. Then after that all take one. So nice. =)

My camera is "back", today Kah Seng brought back the digital camera.. He came back here because the new computer monitor got a bit of problems. So got to bring back to Wayne and check. Final Intake for Territorial Army 515 Regiment.

Askar counter is now open for final intake. If you can't decide now.. meaning next year only join back if you want to join. =P Today we also did pamerkan three rifle, M16, AUG and MMG. M16 is 2.4kg. AUG is 3.8kg. MMG is 10kg.. so heavy. But our main rifle is M16, so its ok la. Lol. Sigh, kena za dou. Kah Seng told that daddy ask me why I dont want to use the camera.. I thought he want to use for Saturday's event ma.. Mana tahu.. Aih. This Friday got medical check up. X-Ray.. Free wan. Lol. If dont have maybe I'll go back Thursday. Come back Friday.. Just to take the camera back. This is the prove that says its already the final intake.

Today Quantitative Studies Coursework Test.

All we need to do is find the seasonal variation and the Product Moment Correlation between the Weekly Income and the Expenditure. Cham, they require us to identify the independent and dependent variable. Wrong this thing all wrong already wan.
